Tell Congress: Support the Equal Rights Amendment
The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) is a basic human rights reform that specifically protects against sex discrimination in our constitution. It affords women full equality under the law for the first time in U.S. history.
Senate Joint Resolution 4/House Joint Resolution 25 is a bill to clarify that the ERA is now officially the law of the land, “valid for all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution,” since it has been adopted by two-thirds of Congress and ratified by three-fourths of states. This bill makes clear that the arbitrary, unjust deadline previously attached to the amendment shall not pose a barrier to equality for all.
Contact your Members of Congress today and tell them that you expect them to support SJ Res 4/HJ Res 25 and the ERA—because we are all equal before God, and must be treated as equal in the constitution of this democracy.
