Allyson McKinney Timm addressed the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law community on Thursday, January 20th, 12:30-1:30 pm Pacific / 3:30-4:30 pm Eastern. She was the school’s second annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Dean’s Speaker.  In her remarks, “Why Equal Rights?: The Story Behind the #Faith4ERA Campaign,” McKinney Timm shared how her personal spiritual journey led her to this crucial struggle for constitutional equality. She’ll reflect on the interrelated struggles against racial and gender oppression, the connections between movements for liberation at home and abroad, and the significance of Dr. King's legacy for the human rights movement today.
