The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) is a vital human rights reform that prohibits sex discrimination and secures equality under the U.S. Constitution. It affords women and LGBTQ+ citizens full equality under the law for the first time in U.S. history.

The ERA Now Resolution (HJ Res 82 /SJ Res 39), introduced by Rep. Cori Bush and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, recognizes the ERA as valid and enforceable as the 28th Amendment to the Constitution. It explains how the ERA has satisfied all requirements to achieve the status of an amendment and resolves that the U.S. Archivist should certify and publish the 28th Amendment without delay.
