Dear *{{Informal Name}}*,
Amidst the news of this tumultuous week, I hope you feel yourself carried by the enduring promise of this Easter season–that even the darkest, most cruel circumstances can be a catalyst for hope and transformation. We know our loving God stays near by our sides through the trials and tribulations of our lives, and our daunting struggles for liberation.
In case you missed it, earlier this week I shared our prayerful convictions on how a Christian human rights group like ours can be truly pro-woman and pro-child, in a way that respects the dignity and worth of all. Many of you wrote back to affirm and thank us for nuanced insight that transcends the usual divides. We’ll continue watching the Supreme Court and bring you more expert analysis as news on the Dobbs v. Jackson opinion unfolds.
Last year brought several breakthroughs and marked progress in Justice Revival’s quest to deepen Christian commitment to human rights in America. To highlight this impact, our 2021 Annual Report is now available online.
We reoriented our flagship Christian Human Rights Education program around a new, web-based event series. Leading experts and hundreds of faithful advocates joined us online to address voting rights, policing reform, and gender equality. Our boldest step forward last year was convening and launching the growing #Faith4ERA campaign. All of these results were possible thanks to you and other vital members of this growing community, pressing for justice in the United States. I hope you’ll peruse the report and learn more about what you accomplished with Justice Revival in 2021.
Educating the Next Generation of Faith Leaders Together, we examined the theological foundations of human rights and analyzed the problem of racism in our criminal system–an injustice that threatens people of color in particular and erodes our society as a whole.
Consider Joining the Justice Revival Team Justice Revival has two exciting positions open for summer: #Faith4ERA Mobilizing & Advocacy Coordinator and Digital Communications Internship. If you have a background in policy advocacy, government relations, or community organizing, #Faith4ERA Coordinator could be the role for you. The Digital Communications Intern will learn about comprehensive social media strategy, graphic design, website management, and more. This is a great opportunity for a college student or recent grad. Become a valued member of our team and mobilize Christians across the U.S. for human rights! We’re also seeking experienced leaders to join our governing board of directors. We're looking for Christian leaders dedicated to human rights, with expertise in Christian education, human rights education, fundraising/development, and/or nonprofit management. Prior board experience is preferred. Reach out to Board Chair Jennifer Gee (jgee@justicerevival.org) to express interest or learn more. If your community is seeking fresh, faithful approaches for advancing justice and rights, we’d love to hear from you. Justice Revival is available for guest sermons, lectures, retreats, and educational workshops this summer and beyond. If you’re interested in bringing our heart for justice and human rights expertise to your community, please reach out here.
It's an honor to be part of this ministry with you. Thank you for investing your time, talent, and treasure in Justice Revival – and for believing we can advance the rights of all, when we give this cause our heart and soul and place our trust in a God who loves justice.
