![]() Dear *{{Informal Name}}*,
Promising days of renewal are upon us. Last Sunday, I relished in the experience of worshipping at my home church for the first time in over a year, now that pandemic restrictions are easing. I was reminded how much I depend on the presence of God's spirit and the joy of community.
Perhaps you, too, are finding new freedoms this season, or simply enjoying the warmth of summertime and its spirit of growth, change, and hope. I pray these blessings uplift you as you continue this journey toward justice with us.
Surely Christians cannot profess the sacredness of human life and ignore the ongoing crisis of police killings and excessive force in the United States.
Join Justice Revival this Thursday, June 24th from 12-1 PM Eastern, for a special conversation with experts Justin Hansford, Rev. Terrance M. McKinley, and Nicole Austin-Hillery. We’ll explore the need to uproot racism and reimagine policing through the lens of Christian faith and human rights commitments. Registration is required to attend the webinar event, where you'll have the chance to ask questions. Our sincere thanks once again to our friends Deb and Bruce MacLeod for sponsoring this event. We hope to see you there!
Thank You to the H.C. Gemmer Family Christian Foundation We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the H.C. Gemmer Family Christian Foundation, which recently provided a generous grant to support our Christian Human Rights Education program. The Gemmer Foundation supports projects focused on peace, justice, and racial harmony. Its gift to Justice Revival will advance our 2021 educational series, "The Heart of Human Rights: Faith Fueled Advocacy on Issues of Our Day."
Ensuring all eligible U.S. voters have access to the ballot box is a vital cause for people of faith committed to human rights. June is a critical month for the For the People Act. Contact your Senators via email, call, or on social media by visiting www.go2vote.org and urge them to vote YES on the For the People Act help secure a vibrant and fair democracy for everyone.
Pride is a celebration and a reminder of why defending human rights for all is crucial every single day. As Christians committed to the cause of justice, we stand in solidarity and compassion toward all members of the LGBTQ+ community. Together, we are tilling the soil to cultivate a world in which every person can experience abundant life.
Accountability for Human Rights Violations You were a part of providing critical international accountability for human rights abuses when Justice Revival added its support to an interfaith statement on the crisis in Myanmar. Together, we called on Myanmar’s military to stop the violence that is taking civilian lives, worsening displacement, and increasing food insecurity. Please keep the people of Myanmar in your prayers as this richly diverse country continues its decades-long struggle for peace and true democracy.
