Tell  the Senate: Support the Equal Rights Amendment

The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) is a basic human rights reform that specifically protects against sex discrimination in our constitution. It would give women full equality under the law for the first time in U.S. history.

Now that Congress has passed the ERA and three-fourths of states have approved it, all that stands in the way is a a problematic, arbitrary deadline on ERA ratification. Senate Joint Resolution 1 (SJ Res 1) is a bill to remove this deadline and make the ERA the law of the land. The U.S. House passed a companion bill, HJ Res 17, on March 17, 2021.

Contact your Senator today and tell them that you expect them to support SJ Res 1 and the ERA—because there should be no time limit on equality.
